Our Center is dedicated to advancing policy-focused education research to combat global learning poverty. We specialize in designing, implementing, and evaluating behavioral interventions aimed at improving learning and socioemotional outcomes for disadvantaged children worldwide. Our goal is to provide evidence-informed policy recommendations and forge partnerships to scale up impactful programs, empowering policymakers with the tools to enact meaningful change in education.

She is a Professor of Economics at the European University Institute, Florence, and an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Bilkent University, Turkey.
She is a board member of the Innovation in Government Initiative and co-chair of the Humanitarian Initiative at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), a research fellow at CEPR, an affiliate at the Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), CESifo and Character Lab.
